Covenants

Jeremiah 31:33 NLT “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,” says the LORD. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

Who or what are we in covenant with? Interestingly the word Coven is inside of covenant. A coven is an assembly of witches gathered for like-minded purposes. I’ve found that they seem to know more about covenants than professed believers in Christ. God made the Law Covenant with Israel through Moses. He instituted the New Covenant with the church through His Son Jesus Christ. A covenant is an agreement. A binding contract. 

People make covenants all the time without knowing it. Covenants are made with demons through what we watch on TV, the music we listen to, who we embrace on social media, etcetera. Remember, the word Covenant means agreement. We make a spiritual covenant with whatever we agree with. And agreements allow relationships. For example, if I watch porn and am not striving to repent from it I’m in covenant or agreement with the spirits of fornication. Fornication is a sin against God. (Hebrews 13:4) By not rejecting sexual immorality of any kind I agree with it. I’m in a spiritual contract. And this gives evil spirits legal rights to areas of my life. Understanding this helps us understand why God says:

Ephesians 5:11 CSB “Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them.”

Proverbs 28:13 CSB “The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.”

To illustrate this further, Jesus says: 

Matthew 12:30 ESV “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.”

There are no two ways about it. It’s either one way or the other. By not accepting Jesus Christ we are rejecting Him. By rejecting Jesus we are by default in agreement with the Devil. This opens up Satan’s influence over our lives. Everything has 2 origins; they are either from God or the Devil. They are either good or bad darkness or light. There is no between. Even those who work for the dark side know this. Which is why they strive to get you to agree with something evil. Otherwise, their witchcraft cannot work. When Baalam could not curse the Israelites (because you can’t curse those whom God has blessed) he came up with a plan. Invite the children of God to a party. Yeah, a party where there will be eating, drinking, drunkenness, a good time including fornication, and the worship of the god Baal. Hmmmm, that sounds like a Beyonce concert, a Taylor Swift concert, and many others. Basically, get the Israelites to put a curse on themselves by attending this gathering hence breaking their covenant with God. The moment the Israelites AGREED to go to the party the powers of witchcraft were already at work. They opened themselves up to Satan by agreeing to do what God forbade. Sadly, 24,000 Israelites paid for their decision with their lives. God sent a plague among them. And God also had the witch Baalam put to death for putting a stumbling block in Israel.

Did not the same happen with Adam and Eve? Satan did not hold them down and forced them to eat from the forbidden tree. He persuaded Eve to agree to do it. Then she gave the fruit to her husband and he joined in. Once that agreement was made a covenant was established. They broke their original covenant with God and formed a new one with the serpent. Only this agreement brought sin and death as its consequences to Adam and Eve and the rest of their offspring (us). (Romans 5:12) 

Again, it’s astounding that spellcasters understand how covenants work better than most professed Christians. It’s all about mankind’s free will. Getting one to agree to do evil. The Devil knows that. Hence it behooves us to be careful about what or whom we agree with; what or whom we accept or reject. We are making or breaking spiritual covenants all the time by our choices. Often totally unaware.

Jesus says when only 2 come together in His name IN AGREEMENT they can pray for whatever they want and IT WILL BE DONE for them. God’s power can be accessed powerfully when only 2 believers are in covenant prayer:

Matthew 18:19-20 ESV “Again I say to you, if TWO of you AGREE on earth about anything they ask, IT WILL BE DONE for them by my Father in heaven. ²⁰ For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

“United we stand divided we fall?” Even the world knows that. See why the Lord hates divisions in His body? It weakens us and opens the door to Satan and his demons. So when God tells us to live at peace with one another He’s teaching us how to access His power to the fullest, and keep the Devil out. (Colossians 3:13-14) God is love. (1 John 4:8) There is nothing selfish about love. Nothing is more powerful than love because love is God. Believers who walk in God’s love Satan cannot touch! They are in covenant with Almighty God!😊 (John 13:34-35)

I can’t count how many times I’ve heard people say, “God is good. All the time. And all the time God is good.” It’s usually echoed by folks in religious circles. Some folks mean these words when they say them. But sadly they are spoken by fornicators, murderers, gossipers, slanderers, thieves, pedophiles, drunkards, witches, wizards, etcetera. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) You see, there are those who think you can get good from evil. Who put darkness for light and light for darkness. Like some who talk about their relationships and how they were mistreated by their partner(s). Yes, what the other person did to them was evil as far as we can tell. But wait, sometimes they forget to mention they were in a fornication relationship. Doesn’t God (who is good) say fornication is evil? (Hebrews 13:4 Revelation 21:8) So how can anyone engaged in fornication expect good to come from doing what is bad? Having sex without marriage and believing everything will go well is like drinking poison and expecting to cure a cold. This is one of the reasons why there is so much heartache. The Devil has deluded us. We cannot get good from doing what is evil. It never works.

The so-called love songs we listen to and the movies tell us fornication will work out fine. We are bombarded with these. Satan has seen to that. So we choose to believe it. We jump off the cliff, take a deep dive into the fake ocean of love (or lust or sin), and expect not to hit rock bottom. Then when we’re all busted up and heartbroken we cry, “They did me dirty.” When the truth is you did yourself dirty by participating in a demonic relationship you knew was wrong. We wonna swim with sharks but don’t expect to get bit or eaten.😳 🦈 How delusional. God put it this way:

Proverbs 6:27 ESV “Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned?”

How can anyone get what is good by going against God who is good?

When you’re fornicating you’re swimming with the sharks podnah! And I’m not only talking about your sex partners, I’m talking about evil spirits and demons. 

1 Corinthians 6:15-20 LEB “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Therefore, shall I take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! ¹⁶ Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For it says, “The two will become one flesh.” ¹⁷ But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with him. ¹⁸ FLEE SEXUAL IMMORALITY. Every sin that a person commits is outside his body, but the one who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. ¹⁹ Or do you not know that YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God with your body.”

I’m guilty of sinning this way in the past too. And expected good would come from it. How misled I was. That’s why I speak about it. I renounce the spirit of fornication in Jesus’ name! It’s a dark, ugly, wicked, selfish spirit. This spirit blinds you and binds you. It’s not until you repent from it you can see just how deluded you were. Let’s confess our sins to God. (Proverbs 28:13) Let’s take responsibility for our wrong decisions and repent. Start there first. Let’s stop blaming other people for what we allowed them to do to us. Sharks can only behave like sharks. We were used and abused because you and I put ourselves in that predicament. Let us praise God that by His grace we survived the shark attacks. And lived to tell about it!😳 🦈 If we do this, we really believe, “God is good.” Let us rejoice and show appreciation for His great mercy! (Psalm 103:8-14)

May we stop expecting great results from doing what is evil. It will never work. If we believe God is good we will stop this madness. How can anyone get what is good by going against God who is good? God is good, yes. He is also a righteous judge. And that too is good:

Galatians 6:7 LEB “Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked, for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap.”

Hebrews 13:4 CSB “Marriage is to be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.”
