Did you notIce Jesus said all who overcome will sit with Him IN HIS THRONE?😊 I think it’s interesting that those who love God and do not seek to usurp His throne like Satan did get to sit with Him in it. How AMAZING that we can go from the lowest place to the highest position!😃 

Jesus had just rebuked the church for being lukewarm. He said he would spit them out of His mouth if they do not repent. Yet he holds out this grand promise for all who do repent: to sit with Him in His throne.😊 It’s as if God is saying, ‘Don‘t you see what you are giving up if you remain lukewarm? I am offering you a seat with me IN MY OWN THRONE.’🤣

I don’t think any of us really know how great our reward is for overcoming and keeping the faith. (1 Corinthians 2:9) But it’s still a good idea to meditate on it. Being that the church is Christ’s bride and He is the perfect husband just imagine what a good husband would do for his wife. There is nothing he would hold back from her. Whatever he owns is hers. They share everything together. This is what I imagine when Jesus says, “To him that overcometh will I grant to SIT WITH ME IN MY THRONE.” He fully shares with us what is His, forever! WOW!😊 What a Husband we have!😂 He said the same thing here:

Revelation 2:26-28 NET “And to the one who conquers and who continues in my deeds until the end, I WILL GIVE HIM AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS – he will rule them with an iron rod and like clay jars he will break them to pieces, JUST AS I HAVE RECEIVED THE RIGHT TO RULE FROM MY FATHER – and I will give him the morning star.”

Sitting with Jesus in his throne? You can’t go any higher than that!😃

Jesus says just as he has been given authority from God to rule the nations and break them to pieces (those wicked nations), He will give the same authority to all who conquer and keep the faith to the end. He shares with us what has been given to Him. He holds nothing back. He is the perfect Husband to the church His Bride. Yet Satan is still tricking people into believing that God is holding things back from us. But as we can see that is a lie. If they only knew the real Jesus Christ.😊 Some Christians don’t even know that Jesus promises to share His throne with them. He states it again through His servant Paul right here:

1 Corinthians 6:2-3 KJV “Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? [3] Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?”

That’s right, you read it correctly. Not only will we (the saints) judge the world along with our Husband and Master Jesus Christ, we will judge angels too!😳 Our Lord and Savior shares everything with us, He holds nothing back.

2 Peter 2:4 GNB “God did not spare the angels who sinned, but threw them into hell, where they are kept chained in darkness, waiting for the Day of Judgement.”

Jude 1:6 KJV “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

God gives full victory to all who overcome this Satanic, evil world system. We will sit with Jesus IN HIS VERY THRONE if we repent of all wickedness and do not be lukewarm. Sitting with Jesus in his throne? You can’t go any higher than that!😃

Many of us say we wish Jesus would come back right now. I know I have. Sometimes what we are saying is we wish that our suffering and/or others sufferings would end right now. We were really saying we cannot wait until this wicked world that causes so much pain and misery ends. That’s understandable. But sometimes while we are wishing that Jesus would come back soon He is pleading with us to come back to Him soon. Some of us have backslidden. Others are not backslidden because they never front slid. They never had a relationship with Jesus to begin with. 😳

If Jesus did come back right now what spiritual state would He find us in? If Jesus comes back and finds us lukewarm our misery will not end, it has just begun and will be magnified a thousand times!😳 Let’s be honest; some of us want the joys of heaven; eternal life, no more pain and suffering, no more working hard and paying bills, etcetera, and we want to enjoy this world to the fullest too. But all of this world’s pleasures are not good. If we straddle the fence when it comes to serving God we will lose out big time. We must make a firm decision to be on God’s side.

BE GLAD HE SEEMS SLOW

One of the worse things about being deceived is sometime you don’t even know you are deceived. We may feel like everything is fine, that all is well, only to find out we’re living inside of our worse nightmare.😳 Here’s to me the worse case scenario:

Matthew 7:21-23 NET  ““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven – only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds?’ Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!’”

WOE! Jesus will tell MANY people on judgment day who want to live forever in heaven, “I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!”😳 That’s living inside of your worse nightmare indeed! This will not happen because God is unkind. Could this be happening to some of those lukewarm people Jesus was talking about? Folks that Jesus repeatedly begged to come to Him soon, and they refused to repent?🤔

If we do not have an INTIMATE relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ we don’t really know Him and He doesn’t know us. This intimacy with God is something we must seek. And once we have it we must continue to seek it. Remember, the worse thing about being deceived is sometimes you don’t even know it. It’s not enough to think we are in good standing with God, we must continually seek His face:

2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Psalm 105:4 ESV “Seek the Lord and his strength; SEEK HIS PRESENCE CONTINUALLY!”

If we straddle the fence when it comes to serving God we will lose out big time. We must make a firm decision to be on God’s side.

Pray to God daily. Study His word if just for a few minutes (daily). Fellowship with other believers as often as possible, this will encourage you and me. (Hebrews 10:24-25) Please let the next passage encourage all of us. I hope we see God’s deep love for us all:

2 Peter 3:9-15 ESV “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is PATIENT TOWARD YOU, NOT WISHING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD REACH REPENTANCE. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. And COUNT THE PATIENCE OF OUR LORD AS SALVATION, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him.”

“What sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God?” If we are truly striving to live like this (holy and godly lives) depending on the help only the Holy Spirit provides we will not be disappointed when Jesus comes back.😊 “Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.”
