What would you do if God told you to stop hanging around a certain person? Would you obey Him? Would you give them up? What if that person was you?😳🤔 What if God said, “I don’t like your carnal personality. You must leave that person behind and walk with me in newness of life. I’ll help you do it. You know I’ll never fail you. You must learn to imitate me. We will do great, eternal things together.”😊 Would you make the attempt to listen to God?

God wants to remove the scales from our eyes. For example: some say they are Christians but never or hardly ever study the Bible. (2 Timothy 2:15) That’s like someone saying, “I’m a professional basketball player,” but never touches a basketball.🤔 God doesn’t want us to live in delusion. Satan does. It’s all he’s about. He will lie to us to our grave. He has a unique ability to make people think they hear things from God when really it’s him.

What will we do if God reveals to us we have been deceived? Will we storm away from Him angry? Or will we thank and praise Him for making things known to us? Often times God will use another human being to chastise us. When this happens may we always recognize that it is God giving the scriptural reproof.

Psalm 141:5 ESV “Let a righteous man strike me—it is a kindness; let him rebuke me—it is oil for my head; let my head not refuse it.”
