Walking in the Spirit means, “To deport oneself,” to the Spirit? To live with the Spirit or be absent from all and be in the presence of the Holy Spirit? It also means, “To tread all around and to follow the Holy Spirit like a companion. Yes, this is what walking in the Spirit entails. Many who have come to Christ know exactly what this means. When they came to the Lord the Holy Spirit took them on a journey where it was just Him and them. They found rest for their souls as Jesus promised. (Matthew 11:28-30). Who does not feel refreshed when they get alone with the Spirit and engage in the things of God? The more we get away and are caught up in spiritual matters; study of the word, meditation and application of God’s word, prayer, spreading the gospel, doing good deeds, etcetera, we will not satisfy the desires of the flesh. (Galatians 5:19-21)

THE GREATEST PURSUIT

The same way a guy pursues a woman we must pursue the Spirit.😊 When you first fell in love were you ever too busy for that girl/guy? No. So how are we too busy for Bible study? Or for Prayer?🤔 When you were out in public with your girl or guy were you ashamed to be seen with them? No. Some of us wanted the world to know, “Hey, this is my girlfriend! My fiancé! My husband! My wife!” So why would we be ashamed to be seen in public with Jesus? Why would we be ashamed of spreading the good news of salvation through the love of our life Jesus Christ? Why would we not want to tell the world, “Hey, this is my LORD and Savior, His name is Jesus?”😊 (Luke 9:26) 

When your girlfriend told you her favorite ice cream flavor was vanilla did you not go out and buy her 2 gallons of vanilla ice cream?🍨😊 So when Jesus tells us His favorite flavor is LOVE why would we not try to please Him? When Jesus tells us he likes a scoop of LOVE with 2 scoops of FORGIVENESS on top, and then some chocolate syrup COMPASSION poured on top why would we not rush to give Him what He wants? Could it be that we are we falling away and are lukewarm? Are we falling out of love with Jesus?🤔 Guess what? Jesus’ love for us is so strong HE WILL FORGIVE US and restore our relationship with Him if we repent.😊

Walking in the spirit is an active decision and lifestyle. One must choose regularly to get away from all distractions and be occupied with the things of God. We must follow Him all around as our companion, pursuing Him and how to please Him. Then we will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Philippians 4:6-7 CSB “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

There’s a certain peace unlike any other that comes over us when we trust God. When we recognize, “I’m weak, I can’t save myself, all I can do is trust God,” something happens. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) When there’s no money to trust in, no friends to trust in, no human ingenuity to trust in, you can still trust God. None of those things are as trustworthy as God.

When we ask God for what we need we mustn’t forget to THANK HIM for who He is and what He has already done (and will do Mark 11:24). Then the peace of God WILL guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Then worry is destroyed.😊 We learn just how powerful our God is.

Having inner peace and not falling prey to the Devil is our guarantee for trusting in God.😊 I don’t know about you but I need God more than food, more than clothe, more than a place to stay, etcetera. I know many of you feel the same way. And many of you are facing challenges in your lives regarding these things too. Let us then trust God and see His mighty hand at work in our behalf. He may not answer us when we want or in ways we expect, but He will care for our every need. He promises to do that for us and it’s impossible for our God to lie. (Matthew 6:33 Hebrews 6:18) At the very least (or the very best) God will give us His peace.😊 Without God’s peace you don’t have anything.🤔

When a person really believes in a cause he/she is willing to risk their lives for it. Man achieves great heights (and lows) when he believes what he’s doing is right. And his cause can be dead wrong.😳 It’s sheer belief that gives humans courage to face danger and fear. How blessed are those whose beliefs and cause is righteous!😊 How blessed are they who through faith face danger, fear, difficulty, and in the name of Jesus conquer them! 👑 For he/she shall receive the crown of life.
