God’s Champions

1 Samuel 17:8-10 CEB “He stopped and shouted to the Israelite troops, “Why have you come and taken up battle formations? I am the Philistine champion, and you are Saul’s servants. Isn’t that right? Select one of your men, and let him come down against me. If he is able to fight me and kill me, then we will become your slaves, but if I overcome him and kill him, then you will become our slaves and you will serve us. I insult Israel’s troops today!” The Philistine continued, “Give me an opponent, and we’ll fight!”

In this passage, we see the mind of a bully. Goliath was estimated to be around 10 feet tall. His spear weighed about 125 pounds. He was very strong. And he asked for just one man to fight him. A no contest. In other words, he wanted to be sure he would win. That’s how giants think, they’re bullies and cowards. They don’t fight fair. And yet some of them are regarded as heroes? When the much bigger guy goes around beating up on little dudes what’s heroic about that? He’s not a hero he’s a bully! The same goes for countries, corporations, etcetera.
A REAL HERO
You know who’s a real hero? David. David was a boy, a budding young man that stepped up to the giant’s challenge. David was incensed that this person (giant or not) day after day hurled insults at his God. I’m willing to bet Goliath didn’t wake up thinking a BOY would accept his challenge and cut off his head. Pride does go before destruction indeed. (Proverbs 16:18)
1 Samuel 17:41-52 NLT “Goliath walked out toward David with his shield bearer ahead of him, [42] sneering in contempt at this ruddy-faced boy. [43] “Am I a dog,” he roared at David, “that you come at me with a stick?” And he cursed David by the names of his gods. [44] “Come over here, and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and wild animals!” Goliath yelled. [45] David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies-the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. [46] Today the LORD will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! [47] And everyone assembled here will know that the LORD rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the LORD’s battle, and he will give you to us!” [48] As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him. [49] Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down on the ground. [50] So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword. [51] Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they turned and ran. [52] Then the men of Israel and Judah gave a great shout of triumph and rushed after the Philistines, chasing them as far as Gath and the gates of Ekron. The bodies of the dead and wounded Philistines were strewn all along the road from Shaaraim, as far as Gath and Ekron.”
I cry to this day when I read this story. Some of you know why. We’ve faced many Goliaths in our life and will face more. David hit the giant where it counted, right in the forehead, and he was done. I find it interesting that it was his forehead. That’s the same place where God’s enemies receive Satan’s mark, and they too are done. (Revelation 14:9-11) Very interesting. God doesn’t fight the same way man does. All who oppose God never see it coming until it’s too late. All bullies will suffer Goliath’s fate. Amen!
David is only one of God’s champions. All with a faith like his are God’s Champions too. God’s soldiers don’t have to be the fastest or the strongest. They like David come in the name of the Lord Of Hosts. They already have the overwhelming advantage. They have Almighty God.😊
Revelation 2:26-28 NLT “To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end, To them I will give authority over all the nations. [27] They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots. [28] They will have the same authority I received from my Father, and I will also give them the morning star!”

Racists Will Not Inherit God’s Kingdom

Acts 10:34-35 CSB ‘ “Peter began to speak: “Now I truly understand that God doesn’t show favoritism, 35 but in every nation the person who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.” ‘
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________
How many folks in the world do you think are racists? I would say many. And this shouldn’t shock us. Even the apostle Peter had a problem with racism. Another apostle (Paul) confronted him on this issue. (Galatians 2:11-14) Yeah, even the rock of the church (Peter) had to learn not to be prejudiced. It shouldn’t surprise us then if we need to do the same. Often times folks are prejudiced and don’t even know it. Just as an alcoholic may think he/she is not an alcoholic. As a weed head may say I’m not an addict. “It’s only weed, it comes from the earth, God made it. It’s not those synthetic manmade drugs. So smoking weed doesn’t mean I’m a drug addict.” You’ve heard it. I used to say it myself. Yet I couldn’t stop smoking weed. One day I came to the realization that I was indeed an addict. It wasn’t until then that I began to change with God’s help.
It’s easy to tell yourself I’m not this or that when you’re exactly the thing you say you’re not. How about this one, “I’m not prejudiced. Some of my best friends are black.”🤔That’s a common denial phrase. Not saying it can’t be true sometimes. I’ve seen the most racist people work hard to prove they were not. And they couldn’t hide it no matter how hard they tried to.
It’s evil to have a domineering spirit towards others because you believe your race is superior. It upsets these folks to see people in positions they believe are reserved only for them. This is so Satanic. Those who live this way will not inherit God’s kingdom. Love for fellowman and for God are God’s greatest commandments. (Matthew 22:36-40)
Racists delude themselves into believing certain people aren’t humans they’re animals. This thinking allows their conscience to bypass God’s commandment to love (so they think). God will judge ALL haters. Pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before the fall. (Proverbs 16:18) Wicked, racist pride will be judged! Eternal torment in the lake of fire awaits the racist. Hence I encourage you and me dear brethren to check ourselves before we wreck ourselves. Ask God to show us, “Is there any racism in me?” Don’t faint if He says, “Yes.” Just repent and fight to get rid of it.
In a sinful world, it is impossible not to be affected or infected by racism one way or another. So it’s not shocking to find the best of us show favoritism sometimes. May we repent of this if need be. And never dominate people because we feel we are superior. There are only two races in God’s book: the children of God and the children of the Devil. The passage below tells us who’s who:
1 John 3:10 LEB “’In this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Whoever does not live in righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”

Unconditional Love?

John 3:16 NKJV “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________
I’ve heard it, you’ve heard it, and it sounds good: “God loves us all unconditionally.” Certain folks love to say this. Here’s a definition of the word condition: “A situation that must exist before something else is possible or permitted.” People take that definition, apply it to God, and run wild with it. They say, ‘The Bible says that God loved us so much Christ died for us while we were still sinners.’ Yes, that’s true. We didn’t have to become righteous first for God to show His love for us. But does this mean there are no conditions attached to remaining in God’s love?
If you examine the famous verse John 3:16 closely you will find a condition linked to receiving everlasting life. “That whoever believes in Him should not perish,” is what we are told. Belief in Christ must exist before everlasting life is possible or permitted. This is the main passage church folks use to explain God’s salvation and rightfully so. It states right in the passage the condition that must be met to attain eternal life. So where do people get this unconditional love doctrine from?
Matthew 6:14-15 LEB “For if you forgive people their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive people, neither will your Father forgive your sins.”
Jesus says to receive God’s forgiveness a situation must exist; a condition must be met before that is possible. We must forgive others. That means God’s forgiveness is conditional, not unconditional.
Here’s another one:
Matthew 7:7-11 CSB “Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 Who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?“
Jesus tells us to receive things from God a condition must be met. We must ask, seek, and knock. There it is again. I could go on and on with scripture showing there are conditions that must be met to receive and remain in God’s love. Here’s another one:
2 Timothy 2:12 ESV “If we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us.”
Again, a condition must be met not to be denied by God. We must not deny Him. And to reign with Him we must endure trials. This unconditional love doctrine is a farce. It misleads people into believing they can do whatever they please and God will still love them. It teaches folks that God won’t judge them or their sins. Just look at the history of Israel God’s own people. Why did they get into so much trouble? Why were their sins constantly judged? Why did God bring on them His 4 worst punishments; pestilence, famine, wild beasts, and the sword? (Ezekiel 14:21) Why did they become plunder for their enemies again and again? Because they failed to meet God’s main condition: “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with your whole soul, and with all your strength.
Christ died for us all while we were yet sinners and no conditions had to be met. But don’t get it twisted. He loved us way before then when He gave us life. No conditions were met there either; we weren’t alive. Telling people that God will give them eternal life and always love them because He loves us unconditionally is a lie! We must reciprocate God’s love. We must love Him in return. And for those who will say I’m teaching salvation based on works just read James chapter 2. There you will see that faith and works go hand in hand. And that faith without works is dead faith. (James 2:26) All lies (like this false doctrine) come from you know who: Satan.
Love; which is what God is, is Holy. (1 John 4:8 1 Peter 1:16) He hates wickedness. The Bible says He hates wicked people too:
Romans 9:13 ESV “As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
Psalm 5:4-5 HCSB “For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil cannot dwell with You. The boastful cannot stand in Your presence; YOU HATE ALL EVILDOERS.”
Yes, God hates the wicked (those who love evil) not just their sin. Wicked preachers are lying to you when they tell you otherwise. They claim to represent God and are going directly against Him. They are setting you up for the eternal lake of fire by making you feel your sin is not that serious. They love sin. This is why they make excuses for themselves and the sins of others.
God is a merciful God, yes. He does not delight in the death of wicked people. He is willing to forgive the wicked when we turn from our evil ways. (Ezekiel 18:21-23) But there again is that condition that must exist before forgiveness is possible or permitted; we must repent. Evil will not always be tolerated. We must turn from it to experience God’s love as His sons and daughters. People willingly forget that Love (which is what God is) destroyed the whole wicked world by a flood in the days of Noah. (2 Peter 3:5-7) Are you telling me that God still loves those people unconditionally that He destroyed in the flood?
Genesis 6:5-8 LEB “And Yahweh saw that the evil of humankind was great upon the earth, and every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was always only evil. 6 And Yahweh regretted that he had made humankind on the earth, and ⌊he was grieved in his heart⌋. 7 And Yahweh said, “I will destroy humankind whom I created from upon the face of the earth, from humankind, to animals, to creeping things, and to the birds of heaven, for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of Yahweh.”
Yes, we humans grieve God’s heart with our wilful sins. So much so He destroyed an entire world because of it. Our cup of deliberate sin is full again and running over. This time God will take care of the problem by fire. He will cleanse the earth again.
In conclusion, these next passages further prove God’s love has rules. And this unconditional love doctrine is a damnable lie:
Proverbs 8:17 ESV “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.”
Hebrews 10:26-31 CSB “For if we deliberately go on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire about to consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who disregarded the law of Moses died without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, who has regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know the one who has said, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, and again, The Lord will judge his people., 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Ezekiel 24:13-14 “Because of the depravity of your uncleanness—since I tried to purify you, but you would not be purified from your uncleanness—you will not be pure again until I have satisfied my wrath on you. 14 I, the Lord, have spoken. It is coming, and I will do it! I will not refrain, I will not show pity, and I will not relent. I will judge you according to your ways and deeds. This is the declaration of the Lord God.’ ”
Proverbs 1:24-31 GW “I called, and you refused to listen. I stretched out my hands to you, and no one paid attention. You ignored all my advice. You did not want me to warn you. I will laugh at your calamity. I will make fun of you when panic strikes you, when panic strikes you like a violent storm, when calamity strikes you like a wind storm, when trouble and anguish come to you. “They will call to me at that time, but I will not answer. They will look for me, but they will not find me, because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord. They refused my advice. They despised my every warning. They will eat the fruit of their lifestyle. They will be stuffed with their own schemes.”
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of Almighty God for judgment. Don’t play with God. Honor Him. Love Him. Don’t believe the lie that you can do whatever you want because God’s love is unconditional.
Because I speak about these things I’ve been called everything from unloving, and judgemental, to not a Christian, etcetera. But as you have seen this unconditional love doctrine is disproved by God’s own word, not my opinion. To be honest, guys being called those things is a small price to pay for sharing God’s truth. It’s an honor to be hated for echoing God’s words. Many of our brethren have died for speaking the truth. They paid the ultimate price. We may too one day. (Revelation 12:11) We must be ok with that. Don’t let anyone shame you or scare you from speaking God’s words exactly as He says them. And don‘t waste pearls on swine. Those who claim to be who we are and keep spreading this damnable heresy about our Father will pay a price too. Only theirs will be much worse than ours. There’s no comparison.
