Who Is Like Jesus? PERSECUTION

2 Timothy 3:12 ESV “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted“

Great evidence that you are following Jesus is people are following you. Let me explain. The Greek word for persecute means, “To follow.” People followed Jesus all the time. They tried to catch Him doing or saying something they could use to arrest Him or have Him Killed. People will follow/persecute the true followers of Christ with the same evil intentions. Jesus never hid this from us. He told us this is part of the cost of being His disciple. 

Luke 9:23 KJV “And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

True Christians bear a cross. Carnal believers seek a life of ease. If you consider yourself a Christian and no one is bothering you, following you, or persecuting you, I’d be very concerned. Because according to Jesus’ own words, you can’t be following Him. God says all who DESIRE to live a godly life WILL be persecuted. So what do you think happens to the person who actually lives that godly life? Persecution for sure. But oh how blessed they are to suffer for the Lord:

Matthew 5:10-12 CSB “BLESSED are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS THEIRS. ¹¹ “You are blessed when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of me. ¹² BE GLAD AND REJOICE, because YOUR REWARD IS GREAT IN HEAVEN. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Who Is Like Jesus? POVERTY

2 Corinthians 8:9 LEB ”For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was rich, for your sake he became poor, in order that you, by his poverty, may become rich.”

Who do you know has this world’s stuff; MONEY, etcetera and would give it all up to serve and enrich others spiritually? (Matthew 6:24) A better question is am I like that? Do I even aspire to be that way? Like Jesus? Because that’s who Jesus is:

1 John 4:17 NLT “And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So WE WILL NOT BE AFRAID ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT, but we can face him with confidence because WE LIVE LIKE JESUS here in this world.”

The person who seeks to be like Jesus in this world has confidence in the day of Judgment. They can boldly face God. What a blessing! Love is the key that opens the door. Selfishness locks it. 

Isn’t it interesting that people who live this life of love are often slandered as Jesus was? I believe one reason for this is they show others up though it is not their intention. They affect the consciences of others without even knowing it. They prove that a person can live without all this world’s stuff and still be happy. This upsets carnal Christians. Carnal Christians live for themselves while claiming Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The worldly Christian knows a true Christian when they see one. They’re a constant reminder of what they are not. This irritates carnal believers.

Jesus left the mansions and glory of heaven to come to the ghetto; earth. Not only that he chose to live a life of poverty while here. Jesus did not grow up with a silver spoon in His mouth. He was all about enriching others with true riches, eternal wealth. Think about that; God in the flesh living impoverished, in unfavourable circumstances. No wonder he perfectly understands the poor.

Luke 4:16-18 NLT “When he came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures. 17 The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written: 18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR. He has sent me to proclaim that CAPTIVES WILL BE RELEASED, that the blind will see, that THE OPPRESSED WILL BE SET FREE.”

Luke 9:57-58 NLT “As they were walking along, someone said to Jesus, “I will follow you wherever you go.” 58 But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”

Do you think this person still wanted to follow Jesus after Jesus let him know He had nowhere to stay? How many people would follow Jesus if they knew it would result in them becoming homeless? Only a few. Jesus always tells people exactly what it means to be His disciple. There is no fine print with Him.

Did you know that the word Poverty in 1 Corinthians 8:9 in Greek means BEGGARY? What!!! You’re telling me that God in the flesh lived like a beggar? And He chose this lifestyle to best serve and save us? Yes. Remember Judas was over the moneybag that stored the donations received for Jesus’ ministry. Jesus relied on His Father who provided for Him through support from others. Our Lord didn’t work a secular job for the last 3 and a half years of his life on earth. He literally was what we call homeless. Very few people ever learn the secret of serving God in this way. And very few people will become homeless for the same reason Jesus did. Paul the apostle could say:

1 Corinthians 4:11 ISV “We are hungry, thirsty, dressed in rags, brutally treated, and homeless, right up to the present.”

Remember the rich young ruler who also wanted to follow Jesus? The one Jesus told to sell his possessions and give to the poor then come and follow Him (homeless Jesus)? Remember how he went away sad? He wasn’t ready to follow Jesus like he thought, was he? Did you know that Jesus taught this teaching; selling one’s possessions and giving to the poor to ALL of his disciples? It was fundamental as forgiveness, or honoring one’s parents. We never hear about that teaching much, do we? We always hear about the rich young ruler like he’s the only one who has a problem with money. We all have a problem with money. Some bigger than others.

Luke 12:33 ESV “SELL YOUR POSSESSIONS, and GIVE TO THE NEEDY. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.”

Jesus wasn’t only talking to the rich young ruler when He said the next passage too. He’s talking to all:

Matthew 6:24 CSB “No one can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Jesus just said we will love money and hate God or we will hate money and love God. That’s what he said. Use money for what you need it for. Don’t let money use you. Make money to care for God-given responsibilities and needs. Don’t let money make you. The early church fully understood Jesus’ teachings about material possessions. That’s why they willingly sold them (houses even) and gave to the poor in need:

Acts 2:44-45 NL “And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.”

Acts 4:32-37 NLT “All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they SHARED EVERYTHING THEY HAD. 33 The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. 34 There were no needy people among them, because THOSE WHO OWNED LAND OR HOUSES WOULD SELL THEM 35 and bring the money to the apostles TO GIVE TO THOSE IN NEED. 36 For instance, there was Joseph, the one the apostles nicknamed Barnabas (which means “Son of Encouragement”). He was from the tribe of Levi and came from the island of Cyprus. 37 He sold a field he owned and brought the money to the apostles.”

Before we say, “No one can really live that way,” remember Moses? Here’s a guy who is a prince of Egypt; the most powerful country in the world at that time. He gave it all up to be mistreated with those poor, peasant, Hebrew slaves. Moses went from prince of Egypt; perhaps next in line to be king, to sheepherder, the lowest occupation to the Egyptians. But God used this man greatly because this man had a great heart, a heart like Jesus’.

Hebrews 11:24–29 CSB “By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter ²⁵ and CHOSE TO SUFFER WITH THE PEOPLE OF GOD rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasure of sin. ²⁶ For he considered REPROACH FOR THE SAKE OF CHRIST to be GREATER WEALTH THAN THE TREASURES OF EGYPT, since he was looking ahead to the reward. ²⁷ By faith HE LEFT EGYPT BEHIND, not being afraid of the king’s anger, for Moses persevered as one who sees him who is invisible. ²⁸ By faith he instituted the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch the Israelites. ²⁹ By faith they crossed the Red Sea as though they were on dry land. When the Egyptians attempted to do this, they were drowned.”

James 1:9 LEB “Now let the brother of humble circumstances boast in his high position.”

Who Is Like Jesus? SELF-CONTROL

Proverbs 15:1 CSB “A gentle answer turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath.”

Who will exhibit the fruit of the Spirit’s self-control like Jesus? Though He was accused, ridiculed, and pursued it didn’t change who he was. He didn’t let His attackers get the best of Him. In fact, while dying on the cross (for them) He prayed that God would FORGIVE them for their sins. (Luke 23:33-34) WOW! Is it our practice to pray for those who persecute us as Jesus commands? (Matthew 5:43-48) 

Can we see the big picture here? That it’s not all about us? That we’re privileged to be here in God’s movie called life? Being like Jesus becomes easier to do then. All of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We can only enjoy God’s forgiveness if we are willing to give it to others. (Matthew 6:14-15) The eternal fate of all human beings is at stake. We can be used by God in His movie to shine like stars that lead many to righteousness. (Daniel 12:3) Or we can just be an extra in God’s movie who will never receive any award. We can never earn eternal life. God freely gives it to all who believe in Jesus. To those who aspire to be like Him. Being like Jesus is worth it.

Revelation 9:4 CSB “They were told not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green plant, or any tree, but only those people who do not have GOD’S SEAL on their foreheads.”

There are people who think because they haven’t taken the covid shot they’re in the clear. Not according to Revelation 9:4. Those who do not have the seal of God will be tormented by demons that come from the bottomless pit. (Revelation 9:1-6) God’s word is always fulfilled. There’s a guy I know who makes fun of people who got the jab to their faces. He also mocks God. So he didn’t get the jab. He didn’t get the seal of God either. But he thinks he’s good because he didn’t take the mark of the beast. Very self-righteous. He is under demonic possession. I know this because I’ve seen and heard how he blasphemes God. He doesn’t know that the mark of the beast is spiritual not just physical. And who knows what he’ll do in the future when the pressure is ramped up again to get jabbed. Let’s be sure it’s not one of us who caves in. Let’s pray for strength not to be like Esau who sold his birthright for a bowl of soup. After he realized what he had done he begged with tears to get it back but it was too late. 

Hebrews 12:16-17 NET “And see to it that no one becomes an immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. 17 For you know that later when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no opportunity for repentance, although he sought the blessing with tears.”

GOD’S SEAL

The way to avoid God’s adverse judgment is not just by steering clear of the vaccine. One must have God’s seal:

Ephesians 1:13 ESV “In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and BELIEVED IN HIM, were SEALED WITH THE PROMISED HOLY SPIRIT, ¹⁴ who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”

When we heard the true message of Jesus Christ; how good He is to forgive ALL of our sins, and believed in Him, at that moment we, “were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.” We didn’t have to feel some type of way. We didn’t have to have an out of body experience, roll around on the ground, or shake with convulsions. We simply believed in Jesus Christ’s gospel message of repentance and forgiveness of sins and were sealed. We were then included in Christ, in God’s household. We became a part of His church and came to be something and someone else, something new:

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

We became a NEW CREATION in God. This is what it means to be born again. The person who puts their faith in Jesus Christ is a literal new being. He is born again. The first birth we all experience is physical, the second birth or rebirth is of the Holy Spirit. 

Titus 3:5 KJV “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of REGENERATION, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”

Interestingly the word GENE is inside of REGENERATION. I’ve heard it said, “Born twice die once, Born once die twice.” The second death has no bearing on those who are born again or twice. (Romans 8:1) They are sealed; protected, safe in God. (Psalm 91) Those who are born once die twice. They never experience spiritual rebirth. Hence they die the first and the second death. The second death is the lake of fire where all enemies of God will be imprisoned forever whether they took the shot or not:

Revelation 21:8 KJV “But the FEARFUL, and UNBELIEVING, and the ABOMINABLE, and MURDERERS, and WHOREMONGERS, and SORCERERS, and IDOLATERS, and all LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the SECOND DEATH.”

No, we don’t want any parts of the second death. All who live sinful lives will be there, in the lake of fire. Let’s not get it twisted; again, just because someone avoids the DNA editing shot doesn’t mean they won’t face God’s judgment now and forever. 

ADAM HELD THE CODES (Not Morpheus)

Adam held the code to all humans in his DNA that would live after him on earth. He was created in the image of God. He was also GENErated from the earth. (Genesis 2:7) And all life on earth was made subject to him by God. (Genesis 1:27-29) When his genes (his blood) became corrupt through his sin–eating of the forbidden fruit–everyone of his children born after him had sin in their genes too. But not only humans, animals, plant life etcetera started decaying as well. God told Adam after his sin he would now have to work the ground hard in the sweat of his brow until the day he dies. The ground was now cursed and would not produce easily for mankind. ‘Thorns and thistles will grow for you,’ God said to him. (Genesis 3:17-19) This is why it is said ALL CREATION GROANS waiting for the revealing of the sons of God:

Romans 8:19-23 LEB “For the eagerly expecting creation awaits eagerly the revelation of the sons of God. ²⁰ For the creation has been subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of the one who subjected it, in hope ²¹ that the creation itself also will be set free from its servility to decay, into the glorious freedom of the children of God. ²² For we know that the whole creation groans together and suffers agony together until now. ²³ Not only this, but we ourselves also, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves while we await eagerly our adoption, the redemption of our body.”

Nope, the earth is not suffering from the climate change lies the beast system tells us to disguise their evil plans. All creation is suffering under the weight of mankind’s sin. But at the renewal of all things God’s creation will be set free and restored.

There had to come another man with perfect blood; the perfect code, without any virus of sin to break the curse Adam initiated. That man was and is JESUS CHRIST. He came into this world and left it with His righteous blood intact. He took back dominion over the earth that Adam handed over to Satan in the Garden Of Eden. Jesus Christ is the last Adam as the Bible says. (1 Corinthians 15:45-49) He is the Father of all who inherit eternal life through His blood. Jesus gives REGENERATION (new being) to all who believe in Him. The Devil and Death has been defeated in the person of Jesus Christ. We are now eagerly awaiting our full renewal, the redemption of our bodies:

Philippians 3:21 CSB “He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of his glorious body, by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.”

The sin curse of Adam has been removed! God has taken it away through faith in His son Jesus Christ! (John 3:16) JESUS is indeed the VICTORIOUS SAVIOR OF THE WORLD, THE ETERNAL FATHER, THE HOLY CONQUEROR, AND MIGHTY GOD!!! (Isaiah 9:6) 

SATAN HAS NEW CREATIONS TOO

How interesting and sad that the pseudo savior of the world (the vaccine) does the exact opposite of what Jesus does; save the world. (Revelation 6:1-2) It permanently destroys mankind’s blood; their genetic code, making them unredeemable. As I was writing this I couldn’t help but think of the copycat the Devil is; how he has sealed new creations too. God’s seal is the guarantee of our inheritance; eternal life with our Father. Those who receive Satan’s seal the mark of the beast is a guarantee of their inheritance; eternal damnation, the second death with their father.

Who would have guessed that a false prophet would come in the form of pharmakeia; a vaccine? And it would turn human beings into something other than human.

Revelation 14:9-11 KJV “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, ¹⁰ The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”

God’s word is clear; those who receive the mark of Satan’s beast system are sealed for eternal banishment and torment. Their condemnation is complete. How does this happen to people? 

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 CSB “THE COMING OF THE LAWLESS ONE is based on SATAN’S WORKING, with every kind of miracle, both SIGNS AND WONDERS serving the lie, ¹⁰ and with every WICKED DECEPTION among those who are perishing. They perish because THEY DID NOT ACCEPT THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH and so be saved. ¹¹ For this reason GOD SENDS THEM A STRONG DELUSION so that they will believe the lie, ¹² so that ALL WILL BE CONDEMNED—those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness.”

Deception is how it all happens. Self-deception earns one this horrible fate. People are perishing because they do not receive the love of the truth. The truth is the only thing that saves. (John 14:6) The beast system ravishes those who put their trust in it. And people seem to enjoy it. This world is all lies and make believe. All smoke and mirrors. By taking this injection touted as the savior of the world, mankind has been duped into becoming something other than human. What great cunning this is! 

It’s been proven that mRNA shots change your DNA. Experts say they’re including mRNA technology in all injectables these days. Not just the covid shots. There are even new laws that pertain to those who have been changed into new beings. Yes, those who have taken the mRNA injections are no longer considered human beings by the government. In addition to this they are regarded as the chattel property of the owners or patent holders of whichever vaccine they took. You took the Moderna shot, Moderna owns you, the Pfizer shot, you’re owned by Pfizer. That’s right. I mean, that’s wrong! I know this sounds unbelievable. But it’s all too real. People the world over (about 75-81% it is said) have been tricked into becoming Satan’s new creation. (Revelation 19:20) They didn’t know that these mRNA shots contain gene modification technology on a nanoscale. They were never made aware of this. They are now literally a new species. This is why the mark of the beast is damning. The person’s bodily temple is no longer what God created. Their human identity has been changed under the duress of saving one’s own life apart from God. (Matthew 16:25) People were sold a pseudo salvation; a fake savior, a phony Christ, the vaccine. (Matthew 24:24) Nearly everybody knows by now it doesn’t work. Experts say 9 out of 10 covid deaths were people who took the jabs and boosters. But they’re still echoing, “It’s safe and effective.” Madness! Check out all the world news headlines the last few years calling the vaccine, “The Savior,” “The Massiah,” “The Gospel,” no joke. It was literally promoted this way; as the savior of the world. Who would have guessed that a false prophet would come in the form of pharmakeia; a vaccine? And it would turn human beings into something other than human. Because it is gene therapy and not a vaccine. What great deception.

Matthew 16:25 ESV “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

IN CONCLUSION

If you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit please hold on to your faith during these crazy times. Believe God who says:

Isaiah 54:17 NKJV “NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER, And every tongue [which] rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness [is] from Me,” Says the LORD.”

Once the last of our brethren is sealed in the forehead all this insanity will rapidly end:

Revelation 7:2-3 ESV “Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have SEALED the servants of our God on their foreheads.”
