The Saint Must Walk Alone

WARNING!!! Real Antichrists

1 John 2:18-19 KJV “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. [19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Who is, “THEY,” that, “Went out from us,” in verse 19? Verse 18 says ANTICHRISTS. If you want to know who antichrist is God is telling us who they are. Antichrists are right among us and eventually go out from us. Some can hang around for years without being detected. Did not Judas go unnoticed by the apostles for 3 and a half years? I’ve had to deal with them for years since becoming a Christian as I’m sure many of you have too. But oh how necessary this is as we shall see.

God says antichrists leave out from us, which means again they are among us. Satan is very clever. He’s got so many duped into looking for one person to arrive on the scene as, “THE ANTICHRIST,” when scripture plainly says they are right among us. If you stay true to the faith at some point they will be made manifest and leave as scripture says. A person not fully committed to God often hears judgment when the word is spoken and rightly divided. Sadly, some of these people think they are serving God when they only obey their feelings. Because you hold tightly to the word you’re a bit too much for them. You’re overboard they say. Eventually a scandal, a church split or controversy of some kind will ensue. Oh it’s coming. They have to go out from us just as scripture says. But this is not to your loss, it’s actually for your gain. Unfortunately this hurts most when those exposed as antichrists are close to you or family members. This is very sad.

THEY SAY THE DEVIL CUTS UP THE WORSE WHEN HE’S ABOUT TO LEAVE

Antichrists never leave quietly. They do damage before and while they are leaving. You will be accused of everything under the sun. You will be gossiped about and slandered. You will be told that you are the reason why they left. But should that surprise us? Is not Satan called the accuser of the brethren? (Revelation 12:10) It’s no surprise that his children speak his language which is lies and accusations. They will pour it on thick. They will not leave in silence.

The real reason why they are leaving you is when you speak and stick to the word verbatim it makes them uncomfortable. The word shows them up. Antichrists make up their own rules and contradict the word of God while claiming to be Christians. They obey their FEELINGS and call it God. No matter how gently you try to point out to them that their feelings are contradicting God’s word they become irate and argue they are right even in the face of scripture.😳 You’re always condemning them they say. When you’re only saying what God’s word says. This is a grievous thing.😔

THEY WON’T FOREBEAR AND FORGIVE

Colossians 3:12-13 KJV “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; [13] FORBEARING one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

That word, “FORBEARING,” means to put up with one another. Why can’t people claiming to be Christians (claiming this for years) follow this commandment? No matter how much you try to be their friend; make up with them if there are any differences, no matter how much you say you’re sorry they just can’t do it. They never say they are sorry about anything and always accuse you of thinking that you’re perfect.🤔 Beware of this, remember the Bible calls Satan the accuser of the brethren. FORGIVENESS is one of the most basic teachings of Christianity yet many professing Christians just won’t do it and get along peacefully with one another. Why? Jesus answers:

John 8:43-45 CSB “Why don’t you understand what I say? Because YOU CANNOT LISTEN TO MY WORD. YOU ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.”

Nominal Christians really are Satan’s children; antichrists. You are either in Christ or you’re antichrist. (Matthew 12:30)

WOE UNTO THEM

Jude 1:11-19 KJV “Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. [12] These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; [13] Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. [14] And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, [15] To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. [16] These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. [17] But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; [18] How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. [19] These be THEY WHO SEPARATE THEMSELVES, sensual, having not the Spirit.”

WOW! That’s a whole lot. Where do we start? The Bible says “Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain.” Cain hated his brother and murdered him. How did this happen? Cain and Abel both offered a sacrifice to God but God rejected Cain’s offering and accepted Abel’s. This did not set well with Cain, he became very angry and jealous. God warned Cain about his attitude and told him if he repented he too would be accepted. Cain did not listen to God’s warning and instead murdered his brother. (Genesis 4:3-8) You don’t think of Cain as a religious person whenever you hear his name do you? But the Bible says he and his brother performed a religious service to God: a sacrifice. Yes Cain was religious, but he only had an outward form of it. (2 Timothy 3:5) Antichrists are the same way. They are religious, outwardly. They too perform religious acts to God. But just like Cain they are not accepted because they hate their brothers and sisters as he did:

1 John 3:15 CSB “Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.”

They follow the way of Balaam for reward. Balaam was a witch. Yes, there are many among the church who perform witchcraft either directly or through the sin of rebellion. (1 Samuel 15:23) And they perish in the gainsaying of Core. Core also known as Korah is one of many who opposed Moses. But Core is famous for it. He too seemed to have some religion about him. He talked as if he cared about the well being of God’s people but the whole time he was trying to usurp Moses’ authority. He never stopped contradicting Moses. He always complained about the bad job Moses was doing as leader of God’s people. He accused Moses of setting himself up over the flock and playing the prince over them. But God said Moses was the meekest man in all the earth. How Core really had it twisted!😳 Antichrists do the same thing. They despise Christian leadership and authority while saying they care about the well being of God’s sheep. The truth is they envy the authority of Christian leaders and are trying to draw the sheep after themselves just like Core. Some naive people follow them just as they followed Core until one day God made a unique earthquake happen: the ground opened up and swallowed all the rebels along with Core to their death, then the ground immediately closed back. Then a fire came out from the Lord and killed 250 more rebels that belonged to Core’s (or Korah’s) rebellion.😳(Numbers 16:19-35) Sadly antichrist gainsayers will also bring swift destruction on themselves God’s says.😪 Please repent of this if you know you are guilty of this sin.

Nominal Christians really are Satan’s children; antichrists. You are either in Christ or you’re antichrist. (Matthew 12:30)

__________________________________________________________________________

“These be THEY WHO SEPARATE THEMSELVES, sensual, having not the Spirit,” the Bible says. (Jude 1:19) If you stay true to the faith at some point antichrists will disjoin themselves from you. Everything about them has been foretold so they must separate from you. You will be scandalized and accused for their disunion and rebellion. But do not fret, this has to happen.

GOD SAYS HERESIES AND OFFENSES ARE INEVITABLE

Luke 17:1 KJV “Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!”

1 Corinthians 11:18-19 ESV “For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you. And I believe it in part, for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.”

God says it is inevitable that offenses and occasions for stumbling will come. But woe to the persons being used by Satan to cause them. And why do they come? To show who in the church is truly genuine. Those who are true to God will follow His written word. Those who are heretic antichrists have the party spirit; they will make up their own rules and mislead others into following their heresy. They will always accuse true believers of sins they themselves commit. True believers will always encourage love, forgiveness, and unity in the spirit. (Colossians 3:13) Antichrist will be unloving, unwilling to forgive, and seek separation from those who hold tightly to the word of God. Light and darkness cannot mix. Remember, God says these factions have to happen for good reason, to show which of us have God’s approval. So if you’ve been put out of a church fellowship or others have left you unjustly BRAVO TO YOU for being a true Christian. But WOE TO THEM.😞

Luke 6:22-23 ERV “People will hate you because you belong to the Son of Man. THEY WILL MAKE YOU LEAVE THEIR GROUP. They will insult you. They will think it is wrong even to say your name. When these things happen, know that great blessings belong to you. You can be happy then and jump for joy, because you have a great reward in heaven. The ancestors of those people did the same things to the prophets.”

John 16:1-3 ESV “I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. THEY WILL PUT YOU OUT OF THEIR SYNAGOGUES. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.”

There it is again. Jesus says true believers WILL BE PUT OUT of antichrists synagogues and groups. But again this is a VICTORY for you.😊 GREAT BLESSINGS and A GREAT REWARD IN HEAVEN BELONGS TO YOU!😂

DAMNABLE HERESIES

2 Peter 2:1 KJV “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in DAMNABLE HERESIES, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”

Any time people claiming to be Christians make up their own rules and teach them as God’s laws (just like the Pharisees), they are guilty of damnable heresies. This is no light matter. These false doctrines influence people who are unstable in their faith to disobey God. These false teachers are a stumbling block. “WOE UNTO THEM!”

After striving to establish peace with those claiming to be Christians who are bent on hatred, anger, malice, gossip, slander, divisions, railing, lying accusations, unforgiveness, false doctrines, etcetera, we must obey God’s command:

Titus 3:10-11 KJV “A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition REJECT; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.”

Romans 16:17 KJV “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and AVOID THEM.”

1 John 2:18-19 KJV “Little childaren, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. [19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”

When A Christian Gets Angry

————————————————————————————————————————————

As we can see cursing your parents means way more than just using curse words at them. Cursing our parents means treating them trifling, of little account, despicable, or disrespectfully. Here’s one of Merriam Webster’s definitions of the word, TRIFLING: “Lacking in significance or solid worth.” God says ANYONE who treats their parents in this way is cursing their parents. BUT THANK GOD THAT HE IS GRACIOUS.😊 HE IS WILLING TO FORGIVE US. SO LET US BE SMART AND REPENT if we are guilty of this sin. Whoever refuses to repent, ‘his/her lamp will be put out in obscure darkness,’ God says. To better understand what that means listen to this command:

Ephesians 6:2-3 NIV “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

Honoring our parents God says has a promise: “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Hence doing the opposite has the opposite effect; things won’t go well for us, and we won’t enjoy long life on earth, but ‘our lamp will be put out in obscure darkness.’😳 I think we know what God is saying will happen to those who treat their parents disrespectfully. Can we afford not to honor our parents? Are we stronger than God?🤔

FORGIVENESS

Matthew 6:14-15 CSB “For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses.”

If you are a Christian you’ve heard this commandment many times. But how blessed we are if we obey it!😃 Can’t we see what’s really going on if we hold a grudge against our father or mother for anything? We’re not obeying God’s command to forgive. Wouldn’t you agree it isn’t worth throwing away our eternal life? Sadly, Satan has tricked many into doing just that. Oh he is very tricky. I had to deal with this myself years ago. I thought I had forgiven my mother for certain things in the past but God showed me I really hadn’t. The Holy Spirit let me know I needed to repent, or else.😳 Some wounds go pretty deep, I understand. But we must also understand that the wounds Jesus suffered for us on the cross went even deeper. The wounds he took on our behalf paid the price for our sins, and our parents sins too.

We must also understand that God means what He says regarding forgiving others and honoring our parents. If we don’t forgive others we won’t be forgiven, period. Christ’s sacrifice won’t apply to us. And if we don’t honor our parents our future is very bleak, forever.🔥🥵 Obeying God’s command to forgive is the only way to avoid this. Forgiveness is a very basic commandment for a Christian. (Colossians 3:12-13) Honoring one’s parents we’re told is, “the FIRST commandment with a promise.”😊 (Ephesians 6:2-3)

CAN’T YOU SEE?

Ecclesiastes 7:20 CSB “There is certainly no one righteous on the earth who does good and never sins.”

That includes our parents too. Unfortunately parents are not perfect. Neither are we. ALL HAVE SINNED and fall short of the glory of God the Bible says. (Romans 3:23-24) Why would anyone throw away their life and eternal life with God over this? Short answer: They have been deceived by Satan the Devil and their own evil desires the Bible says. (James 1:14-15 2 Corinthians 4:4) When I saw myself cursing my own mother I had to admit (confess) that I was being deceived by the Devil and my evil desires.🤔 It hurt when I saw it. I didn’t see it at first of course. I felt justified by my FEELINGS. I thought I was right. But my FEELINGS did not line up with God’s word. I was dead wrong:

Proverbs 14:12 CSB “There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death.”

OH THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCY AND FOR FORGIVENESS OF SINS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!!!😂 God’s rich mercy is for EVERYONE who wants it, for ANYONE who is willing to repent.😃

Please, don’t let the Devil drag you to hell over this. Repent and obey God if you know you have resentment in your heart towards your father, mother, or anyone. GOD WILL FORGIVE YOU! We all sin and mess up sometimes. God knows that you are not mistake free.😊 And neither are your parents.

The Race

Hebrews 12:1-2 CSB “Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

What a life coach we have in Jesus for the race we’re in. He finished the race in perfect form. Right before He took His last breath on earth He said, “It is finished.” (John 19:30) The intimidation of death on the cross wasn’t powerful enough to deter Him from the race. Jesus was that focused on finishing. And HE DID IT ALL FOR YOU AND ME.😊 What a pioneer we have!

In Hebrews chapter 11, we see many great finishers of the race. This lets us know that finishing is attainable for us too.😊 In Hebrews 12:1 we’re told the first thing we must do is lay aside the sin and anything that hinders us in the race. These are snares and weights that impede our progres. The sin in our lives must be addressed. The apostle Paul comes to mind when I think about this. Paul was an apostle who spoke frankly about his own struggle with sin. Every born again believer has the same struggle. But victory is gained through Jesus.😊 Listen to what Paul said and see if this sounds familiar:

Romans 7:14-25 CSB “For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold as a slave under sin. For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate. Now if I do what I do not want to do, I agree with the law that it is good. So now I am no longer the one doing it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it. For I do not do the good that I want to do, but I practice the evil that I do not want to do. Now if I do what I do not want, I am no longer the one that does it, but it is the sin that lives in me. So I discover this law: When I want to do what is good, evil is present with me. For in my inner self I delight in God’s law, but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I myself am serving the law of God, but with my flesh, the law of sin.”

Paul was not making an excuse for his sins. He is telling it like it is. The Holy Spirit inspired him to write this so believe it. Believe it about yourself. Just don’t give up in our struggle with sin. Look to Jesus and His atoning sacrifice for sins. (1 John 2:1-2 1 John 4:9-11) He is the answer for the wretched man/woman of God, and for the whole world.😊 If Jesus says He will graciously forgive us and purify us from all sin what reason would we have to give up the race when the going gets tough?🤔 (1 John 1:7-10)

ENDURANCE

That brings us to ENDURANCE or PATIENCE. A person with endurance cannot be swerved from his/her cause. Endurance makes us strong and a finisher of the race.😊 But how is endurance or patience obtained?

Romans 5:3-5 NET “Not only this, but we also REJOICE IN SUFFERINGS, knowing that SUFFERING PRODUCES ENDURANCE, and endurance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

Did you hear what God’s word says? Our sufferings; our problems, the trials of life we go through develops endurance.😳 Yes! And God says for this reason we can rejoice in our sufferings.😊 Endurance in turn produces godly character, and godly character produces a sure hope. But none of this happens without going through trials. This is where many check out. Being willing to suffer for God (let alone rejoice in them) doesn’t make sense. Many are trying to serve God through their flesh, or their own desires and feelings. If it doesn’t feel good to them it isn’t from God. They can see that Jesus suffered on the cross for them but aren’t willing to suffer the least for Him. Pain and suffering will never make sense to those who walk after the flesh. Only one who truly loves and believes in God will be willing to not only suffer for Him but also rejoice in it. This is a sign of spiritual maturity:

Acts 5:40-42 CSB “After they called in the apostles and had them flogged, they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus and released them. Then they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, REJOICING that they were counted worthy to be treated shamefully on behalf of the Name. Every day in the temple, and in various homes, they continued teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.”

“Matthew 5:11-12 NLT “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.”

Again, only a mature, true lover of God will be willing to suffer for Him and obey Him by rejoicing in it. These have learned the secret of their sufferings; it produces endurance, and leads to a sure hope. The Spirit of God rests on such ones:

1 Peter 4:12-14 CSB “Dear friends, don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes among you to test you, as if something unusual were happening to you. Instead, REJOICE as you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may also rejoice with great joy when his glory is revealed. If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God RESTS ON YOU.”😊

1 Peter 4:16-17 KJV “Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. [17] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

I find it interesting that judgment beginning with the house of God is in the same context of scripture with how we view our sufferings as Christians. Because how we view our sufferings as a Christian will determine how we are judged by God. If we view them correctly we are not focused on the sufferings themselves but rather on what they mean: we have a great reward in heaven, the Spirit of God is resting on us, we will also rejoice when Jesus comes and reveals His glory to the whole world,😊 all the prophets were treated the same way, what a great company we are in!😊 It is our privilege not only to suffer for Jesus’ name but also learn how to rejoice in them:

James 1:2-4 CSB “Consider it A GREAT JOY, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.”
