God is our father. He loves us very much. His love is unfathomable. While we were still enemies of God Christ died for us. God didn’t wait for us to get it right. He initated reconciliation with us through the death of His son. So if he did all of this for us while we were his enemies, won’t he love us all the more now that we are his children and friends?

All of God’s children have received and are led by His Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-24) The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. As a consequence we are no longer slaves to fear. We get afraid sometimes, but we are not slaves of it. The Spirit shakes it off. He also confirms in our hearts that we are joint-heirs with Christ. And as we suffer with him in this life the Spirit tells us we will also be glorified with him. We are truly the most blessed people to have ever lived regardless of our circumstances. And we are the most blessed people who will ever die. (Read Revelation 14:13 Psalm 116:15)
How Grand to be children of God. To have the creator of heaven and earth, and all that is in them, as our true eternal Father is breath taking. Just think about that for a while, I bet it’ll make you smile. 🙂 There’s no better anchor for the soul. We enjoy the highest form of protection. We can boldly come before the throne of grace to receive help in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16) And our God enjoys answering our prayers. Yes, we have an awesome Father. Isn’t it great to be children of God?
